Dre’s Cookout & Community Festival is an annual celebration of culture, pride, and community that has grown into one of the most anticipated events of DC Pride weekend. What began as a graduation cookout in 2021 has evolved into a signature Pride experience and a highly anticipated gathering that brings people together in celebration and connection. Now entering its sixth year, the festival continues to center joy, cultural expression, and intentional investment in community.

Operating under a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the festival is driven by a commitment to give back, promote advocacy and inclusion, and pour directly into the community it serves. Through intentional programming and strong partnerships, Dre’s Cookout & Community Festival creates opportunities that uplift voices, expand access, and support the development of future leaders.
